Incorrectly fitted Bracket

This is very common issue

Fitting a face fix bracket onto a narrow  batten .

This practice creates a ligature point at the top of the bracket.

Although the magnetic release part of the bracket conforms to specification and will release when an abnormal load is applied to it (20- 30 Kgs).

The remaining bracket forms a hook at the top of it that can be used to wrap a cord around, creating a ligature point.

This is caused by a lack of understanding of the mechanics of the system and can be a costly mistake!
